The Daily Herald has a story today about what may end up being one of the longest independent fan films in the Star Wars universe.

The movie is to be called Star Wars: Forgotten Realm, and it's written and directed by Darren Crawford, a crew chief at Fermilab in Batavia (I used to live less than a mile from one of the Fermilab main gates when I was growing up, and I took my motorcycle safety course at Waubonsee, which makes this especially cool for me).

Almost makes me wish I still lived in the area, so that I could participate (I suppose I could go up and visit my Mom, though...).
